I've been in the studio a lot lately. Although they were all requirement for my classes, I
double-dutied them in order to get the most out of sitting inside a world class studio.
We recorded 2 tunes in the studio. The first one was "Cycle". One of the tunes I arranged and produced for Hanna Barakat earlier this summer. We managed to get amazing live drum and bass tracks on top of what we already have. I'm mostly done with mixing of the track. I'll post it both to my website and myspace page so you guys can hear it.
The second tune was actually an interesting project. I arranged a very old Sepharadic song for an orchestra and had it recorded live! Great experience. I was also going to conduct the session but I injured my foot badly a day before the session so I had to get Ozgur to conduct it. Once again thank you Ozgur! I am currently working on the mix of this tune so check back for updates on this one too.
Yeah the injury:
The ones that know me personally will also know that I don't get to play basketball too often anymore. In fact, it is an extremely rare situation! Well, when I DO play, I usually end up injuring myself:) this is one of those! Not to worry though. I'm nearly recovered...
Well folks, that's about it for this one...
Take care and thanks for stopping by!
Cheers
